During the Sundays of Advent we will focus on the expectation and anticipation of Christ’s birth and celebrate the joy of Christmas together. Each week we will sing familiar carols and light the candles of Hope, Peace, Joy, and Love in the Advent wreath. Dr. Gibbons will bring messages from the series entitled, “Love’s Pure Light.” A nursery is provided for all services.

Christmas Concert for a Cause

Join us for Christmas Concert for a Cause, featuring Graydon Tomlinson and special guests, on Sunday, December 1. The pre-concert Christmas Market will begin at 3:30pm, followed by the concert at 5:00pm in the Worship & Arts Center. Tickets ($10) available at FirstPresGreenville.org/Events or the First Pres box office (main reception area) during normal business hours or on Sundays. All proceeds support the Isaiah 117 House.

Service of Remembrance

Tuesday, December 10

6:30pm in Harper Chapel

All are invited to this beautiful candlelight service to honor and remember loved ones who will be especially missed during the Christmas season. The service will include Scripture readings with a time of reflection and meditation, the observance of Holy Communion, special seasonal music, and commemorative candle lighting. Christmas@First Concerts

“Love’s Pure Light”

Join us in the beautiful FPC Sanctuary for this year’s Christmas@First concert, “Love’s Pure Light,” on Saturday, December 14, at 2:00pm or 6:00pm, or Sunday, December 15, at 3:00pm. You’ll hear Christmas favorites by our 100-voice choir, full orchestra, and the FPC handbell choir as we celebrate our Savior’s birth through songs of the season, both sacred and secular. Tickets are available at FirstPresGreenville.org/Events and at the First Pres box office (main reception area) on weekdays during normal business hours or on Sundays, November 24 and December 8. Tickets are $15 for adults and $10 for children (12 and under). No childcare available.

Christmas Eve Services

Christmas Eve: Tuesday, December 24

11:00am Children and Families Morning Service in Worship & Arts Center
Bring your little ones and come early for a seat. We’ll sing favorite carols, enjoy special music by the Youth Choir, light the Advent candle, and experience a live nativity. Senior Pastor Dr. Richard Gibbons will give a children’s message. Nursery available for ages 2 and under.

2:00pm Afternoon Service in the Sanctuary
During this traditional service, we will enjoy Scripture readings and special music by choir and instrumentalists that celebrate the birth of Christ. Senior Pastor Dr. Richard Gibbons will give a Christmas message. Nursery available for ages 3 and under.

4:00pm Children and Families Afternoon Service in the Sanctuary

11:00pm Watchnight Service in the Sanctuary
We’ll sing traditional carols and enjoy special music by the FPC choir and instrumentalists. The service will conclude with candle lighting as we sing together, “Silent Night.” No nursery provided.

Please use the Richardson Street Parking Garage if you are able. The parking closest to First Presbyterian will be reserved for seniors and those with disabilities.
