First Presbyterian Church’s Youth Ministry serves grade 6 – 12
Youth ministry is very important at First Presbyterian.  Most of the third floor in the Christian Life Center is dedicated to the youth of the church.  Many adult leaders join with the youth directors on Wednesday, Sundays, for special event and small groups to minister to our youth.

Core Values of the Youth Ministry

  • Fellowship: a group of believers gathered together to build each other up.
  • Worship: to show honor and respect to God
  • Prayer: communication with God
  • Discipleship: a life following and obeying God
  • Ministry: using one’s gifts to serve others
  • Evangelism: to share the good news of Christ

Communication is key to the success of our youth outreach and programs.   We communicate through written materials but do a lot of our communicating through e:mail.  Please be sure that the church has current e:mail addresses for parents  and youth in your home.  If you are not receiving written/e:mailed information about  the youth program and would like to please contact Katie Graham at 672-1757 or kgraham@firstpresgreenville.org

            Senior Highs meet in room #352 for “Umbrella” 7:30-9pm

House Groups  (Jr and Sr High)(Begins for Fall on Sept. 6)  
            Meet on Sunday evenings from 6-8pm in homes.  Each grade gathers together             for a meal and then divides into small groups by gender for prayer and study.              These groups are led by adult leaders

Junior High Activities

Wednesday, July 14th
Fiesta! Wednesactivity
This week's Wednesdactivity will be from 5-6:30 in the Jr. High Room! We will be having dinner from Moe's, Pinatas, games, and music with Bradley! Themed costumes are encouraged! Please bring $5 for dinner. See you there, you don't want to miss this!

Sunday, July 18th
The BLOCK
The BLOCK will be from 6-8 at the Block. Stowe Perry will be sharing his experiences from his time in China. This is going to be an amazing chance to be encouraged by all God is doing in his life! We will have music and worship by the oh so talented Bradley and Kathleen as well! Pizza will be available for $1 per slice! If you are dropping your student(s) off, please follow the traffic schedule used previously! Thanks so much! See you there!

Thursday, July 15th
10am-2ish
Hiking Trip
Woohoo!  We're hiking the Palmetto Trail at Table Rock State Park.  Meet at the park at 10am.  Make sure you wear good shoes and bring a lunch with you.  We will return in the early afternoon.  Directions are listed below.

From Greenville, SC travel north on Hwy 276 until it joins Hwy 11. Stay on highway 11 and turn right at the second entrance to Table Rock State Park. Enter the park and take the first left, follow the road to the barn and the trailhead parking/sign is at the back of the lot.

Stowe Perry will be sharing about his experience teaching in China- you don't want to miss this!

Tuesday, July 20th
Lake Day!!!!!!  
Get excited!  We're going to the lake!  The Williams have offered their lake house to us on Lake Hartwell.  Departure time is 11am.  Return time is 8pm.  Each student will be responsible for getting themselves to the lake.  You can meet us at the church at 11am if you want to follow us there.  Bring your own lunch.  Dinner will be provided.
